- KYBELLA® is an FDA-approved medication that is injected under the chin to destroy fat cells. It contains deoxycholic acid, a substance found in the body that breaks down dietary fats. A topical numbing cream is applied, and injection sites are marked in a grid pattern before treatment. Approximately 20 to 30 injections are administered in specific sites in the fatty area. You will need a series of treatments spaced about one month apart.
- CoolSculpting® is FDA cleared to eliminate stubborn fat in nine different areas of the body, including under the chin and jawline areas, thighs, abdomen, flanks, bra fat, back fat, and the upper arms. There are seven applicators to choose from to freeze the fat. Once the fat cells are dead, they are naturally eliminated from the body. Multiple treatments may be needed to achieve desired results.
- Tumescent Liposuction is an outpatient procedure and does not require general anesthesia. A local anesthetic is injected into the targeted fatty tissue.
