Once the anesthesia has been administered, Dr. Ostad will create eight to nine small punctures in predetermined areas. These punctures will be located in the submental area and neck. After the puncture area is cleared, the suture rod will be inserted through the punctures to lift the underlying muscle and tissue. In addition to a tighter and more youthful jawline, the MyEllevate® procedure increases the production of collagen in the area to give you long-lasting benefits to your facial aesthetic. This procedure generally takes approximately one hour to complete.
The MyEllevate® procedure can be combined with other facial contouring options to achieve a fully rejuvenated facial appearance. MyEllevate® can be performed in conjunction with submental liposuction and energy-based skin tightening technologies, like radiofrequency FaceTite®.
This minimally invasive procedure offers a much quicker recovery period than traditional neck lift surgery; however, patients may experience bruising and swelling that lasts about one week as well as tightness and other discomfort in the treatment area that could potentially last longer. Patients may return to work and other normal activities two weeks after their MyEllevate® procedure. Results typically have been shown to last over five years.
