Whether you’re prepping for a wedding, birthday, or holiday party, our pre- and post-event treatment timeline will help you prep yourself just in time. Here’s a breakdown of the popular treatments our patients typically do before a big event and when you should be doing it.  

6-Months Before the Event 

Filler for Facial Rejuvenation

Dr. Ostad has been recognized as a top 500 injector amongst 40,000 providers in the country.  His aesthetic sense of beauty and “less is more” philosophy coupled with his meticulous knowledge of facial anatomy allows him to deliver outstanding natural results. Dr. Ostad customizes each treatment to your unique facial shape and features.   

As an injector, his approach is always to maintain a patient’s natural shape and use the appropriate filler for a desired outcome. Dr. Ostad prefers to use cannulas instead of needles when injecting filler. Cannulas are flexible instruments that are blunt at the tip. They significantly reduce bruising, bleeding, and swelling. Using cannulas to make a small entry point under the skin allows Dr. Ostad to evenly distribute the filler in the desired area.  

Depending on the patient, Filler results typically last up to 2 years! It’s recommended to get your consultation done by Dr. Ostad at least 6 months prior to your event so maintenance treatments can be done as needed.  

Fraxel Laser to Eliminate Sun Damage  

Fraxel is a non-ablative, fractionated laser that treats the skin’s underlying layer without harming the surface, diminishing sunspots and triggering natural collagen production to create firmer, more youthful skin. Fraxel resurfaces the skin for a more youthful, tighter, and brighter complexion. Fraxel targets the deeper layers of the skin to promote collagen production, while also taking years off sun-damaged skin by improving texture and dark spots. 

It’s recommended to have a series of 3 sessions spaced one month apart to see optimal results right before your event!  

Liposuction for a Sculpted Look 

For those seeking a more sculpted silhouette, liposuction can provide targeted fat reduction in various areas of the body. With Tumescent Liposuction, we can treat any part of the body including the abdomen, waist, back, arms, outer and inner thighs, and double chin. Tumescent Liposuction is a minimally invasive fat removal procedure performed under local anesthesia. This is the best technique compared to traditional liposuction because it is more effective and safer due to use of smaller cannulas leading to more accurate fat removal with significantly less pain and/or bruising after.  

In my practice we only perform Tumescent Liposuction, meaning we numb the area locally so there is no need to be put to sleep.  You are able to see immediate results which get better once the swelling from the numbing goes down. After the procedure, patients may be asked to stay for an hour to be supervised by staff but then they are able to recover in the comfort of their own home.  Recovery can typically take up to 5 days to 1 week. 

PRP for Hair Restoration  

PRP, known as Platelet Rich Plasma, is a popular non-surgical treatment for hair loss and hair restoration. PRP uses the plasma from your blood which contains special proteins and growth factors that help reduce inflammation and help repair the hair follicle to stimulate hair growth. PRP utilizes your body’s natural healing power to stimulate hair growth, offering a non-surgical solution for those seeking to rejuvenate their hair. PRP has numerous scientifically based articles showing its efficacy in increasing hair count, thickness, and the growth phase of the hair cycle.  

PRP is a 3-step medical treatment in which a person’s blood is drawn, processed and separated and then injected into the areas of the scalp which need increased hair growth. Patients typically do a series of 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. 

MyEllevate® for Long-Lasting Lower Face Rejuvenation 

MyEllevate® is a minimally invasive jawline contouring procedure using suture suspension that is performed under local anesthesia. This procedure helps to refine the neck, lower face and jawline with natural-looking, long-lasting results with minimal downtime!  

This procedure can be used as a stand alone procedure or in conjunction with Liposuction or energy-based tightening like necktite for the neck. With MyEllevate®, there is generally little to no bruising and swelling. Patients typically can return to normal day to day activities within about a week compared with an open neck lift surgery where recovery is significantly longer.

Filler Follow Up

A filler follow up appointment is required to allow Dr. Ostad to assess your progress, address any additional concerns, and ensure that you’re achieving the desired outcome. This assessment ensures that your hyaluronic acid fillers continue to enhance your features naturally.  

1 Month Before the Event

BOTOX® Cosmetic for Wrinkle Reduction  

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein, injected into precise areas to smooth facial creases and lines. Oxylight®, “The Madonna Facial,” is the go-to facial that celebrities do right before the red carpet or any big events! It’s 5 different treatments incorporated into one!  

It’s a combination of light therapy, microdermabrasion, oxygen spray, micro current therapy, and LED light therapy. LED light helps stimulate collagen to help with the tightness of the skin, improves appearance of skin damaged by the sun, kills bacteria, and reduces skin irritation and inflammation.
